What's the weird looking symbol?

It's simply the logo to a manuscript I'm writing. Although it's actually turning into the site's logo for a lot of my personal work.

It has no meaning in itself, although it does resemble an Ankh with a biohazard symbol in it (or just an omega symbol with a bar under with a biohazard symbol - as that's what it is).
